Using wordpress for your internet business makes it easy to manage website. It does not take hours to load a site. In fact it can be over with in 6 minutes.

I find wordpress to be great.

Convenient and user-friendly CMS of WordPress platform is a very essential competitive advantage. I like WordPress themes very much and has launched my WordPress blog recently. Good solution.

Cracking post.

I myself am now using Wordpress for any of my "smaller" clients website, and actually even one larger one we are doing.

The only question I have over Wordpress is security, due to the amount of plug ins we use, but time will tell on this.

Apart from that, as a CMS its good enough for most of my clients.

Wordpress is always my first choice when someone asks for a website and has almost no budget. I send them to a place (like here) to design a custom theme. I then install it, show them how to mod it, and they spend maybe $400 total (if they are happy with a free theme, much less) for a site they own.

Done.

I have been wondering about setting word press up as a forum. Is there a way to reverse the code so my clients can post the articles themselves, or will I have to use a plugin intended to be used as a forum.

Hi John,

I'm not convinced yet. ;)

Until WordPress has a robust versioning system and additional layers of user types with editable security, its still a blog platform.

I guess we're not too far away though. I'd really like to see a method of adding new user types outside of "Subscriber", "Contributor" and so on, FIRST.

(From a commercial point of view I'd also like to see methods of making some of those user types initiated by payment or some other action. Plus some method of giving those user types access to content that no-one else sees. [Yeah - membership software I guess.]

Also inter-site interaction would be very cool. Sign up for one site and you automatically become a member of another.

I suppose some of this could be done with plugins, but ideally it would be part of the WP core.)

Then add a proper document versioning system, and as far as I'm concerned they're done.
