I just came across this site and found the information quite useful and I will be taking a look at my wordpress blog to see what else I can do. The challenge with some of the plug ins for real estate websites is that we do not have access to some of the IDX data needs (or sites such as Trulia and Zillow) in Canada. I am currently using WordPress for many of my websites, and its ease of use is excellent. Since you mention themes and designs in your post, I’d like to add that they are also very easy to use and setup, no matter which type of website or blog you’re creating. So I’m sure you won’t run into many problems with using WordPress for real estate, either.

I am running wordpress on several websites. Only issue is the multilingual system. Its not really easy to handle.

Actually, that’s my client, NWColorado.com. They are still crushing it in terms of search engine rankings as they’ve consistently ranked number 1 for “fort collins land” and related searches. That said, WordPress has proven to work extremely well for them on many levels.

I’m still running the WordPress for Real Estate website, however, I’ve since changed my web address to WP4RE.com and added way more themes and mock-ups, IDX tips, etc. If you could update the old link you used (WPforRealEstate.com…it’s dead) to WP4RE.com, that would be awesome.

Great article, and I absolutely agree: WordPress really is the best content management system out there. It outranks most other systems and because of the fact that there are so many plugins available you can turn a WordPress blog into almost everything.

Also, you can optimize it for SEO purposes quickly and easily. All my sites are based on WordPress and I can highly recommend it.
