How to show posts in featured carousal?
You will need FeatureMe plugin, download and install it. Once installed, it shows a check box on all write/edit post pages. Check the check box and it will show up in the featured section
To show the images for each post in the carousal, create a custom field “image_654_254″ and paste a link to 654×254 image in its value field.

How to remove the border around images? I used the border=”0″ html code but the border still exists.

I explained it above….
ok got it to work.
However, I have created two posts but a third post shows up in error with no image. Where do I go to delete the post with no image?
go to edit that particular post and uncheck the featureme box and update the post

I downloaded, and was doing a preview – I noticed that on the subpages, my comments are not listed. My discussion page has 300 comments – and with your theme, nada. Anything?

How can I change the order of the already installed widgets on the sidebar. Right now it is Twitter followed by Most Popular and then Topics. I want the Twitter at the end of all the widgets. Is it possible?

You have to edit the sidebar.php file
you can do that within wp or use a 3rd party editor.
in wp you need to go to Appearance –> Editor
open sidebar.php
find and move the following code
Follow on twitter
scroll down to the end of the file
you should see the following 4 last lines
at the code between the last two so it will look like this

The code you need to move is in line 5 to 8
move it between line 39 and 40
line 40 is the last line with any code

hi. nice theme. but in firefox there are a big space between menu and feature posts. when i mouse over on the menu i see a blank space, with flash file (clcicking with rigt button). can you fix this? i not test with IE and mac. thanks.

I have tried repeatedly to add a widget ready footer to the theme, and I can get the widget area to show on the theme, but in the Appearance>Widgets section of the admin panel. I’ve tried using both of these methods:

Is there something about the theme itself I’m missing that is causing the option of those additional “sidebars” to show in the admin panel?

I’m currently using it on my website (http://www.tvlampsnbulbs.com) and my question is how do I get the images to center?
I was using TWeetmeBlue and I created posts with images which were centered but after switching to this theme all of the images are now moved over to the left.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know a few people have asked about this but couldn’t find a clear answer so excuse me for asking again. I have uploaded a new theme with a features carousel and installed FeatureMe, but each time I tick the ‘Feature it’ box and click save, the feature box in unticked again, which means the carousel is still blank.
What would be the best (and preferably the most straightforward) solution to this problem?

When I add my twitter id in the New one options, when I load my page, I am getting one message like “A username and password are being requested by http://twitter.com. The site says: “Twitter API”" what is the reason? when I remove the twitter id from options, It wont show

go to theme options and set number of posts to show in featured as 5 and save the options
That worked. Now its just that the images aren’t showing up with the featured posts.
By the way, once I get this theme up and running I’m willing to run an add for you for a while if you like. This will be the second theme I’ve used from you, with my first being RedTime. Running an add for you is the least I can do!
Never mind. I finally got it. I couldn’t understand the “custom field” directions. Then it hit me like a bolder.

I have newsOne options on the bottom of my admin page…
But only:
General
125×125
Page
Clicking on options only lets me change the number of ads and such…
Where can I get to “front page layout”, “logo image”, “color”, “stats” etc.
WordPress 2.9.1 – if that matters.

Might be a dumb question but when I post to the blog, the home page shows the complete post not just a portion of it (like it shows on the demo). How do I get a excerpt of the post to show on the home page?

Question – I inserted my Twitter user name into the Twitter ID field under the General Settings page and it is not feeding my Tweets over. Do I need to do something else or is this feature broken?

no you simply have to select “no” for “Show 728×90 ad” and it won’t show
if you select “yes” and paste the adcode it will show up

I am having a weird issue with the featured images.
It works great in Firefox, Safari, Chrome… but for some reason IE will not let the images show up??? Not always… just every now and again.
Sometimes I can delete and repost but lately that doesn’t work.
Any ideas… I know it is working as I can see them in the other browsers but IE, as bad as it is, is the number one browser used.

Sorry if this is a basic question, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. In your demo, you show summaries of the post on the home page with a click to read more link. on my installation it shows the complete post on the home. How do I modify the settings to show a summary on the home?

I just downloaded and installed this theme on a new blog My only issue is that the main page is showing the full content of each post, not an excerpt. Is this a compatibility issue with wordpress 3.0? Or do I not have a setting right? How do I correct this?
This is also an issue on the search results page. Plus the post date and author are incorrect on the search results page as well.
(And have you noticed your comments on this page are out of order? There are 2 posts that remain below new comments)
Ok, I figured out using the “more” option to only show excerpts and I found how to fix the search results.

This could be a temp fix -> Exclude Pages <-
Once you install the plug in you will need to edit each page you don't want as part of the menu… but the page will still be published.
Working with this bug I have found that all of the original settings are still there you just can't make changes.
So adding/editing a page you get the "Exclude Page" option (on by default) click it off and will will not show up… but you can link it anywhere you like.
Hope a real fix is in the works by someone smarter than I…
The menu doen’t work like in the demo. My menu is clickable but not next to each other, it is under each other… It’s just a normal link that goes to the page. And it shows every page I have even the subpages. It’s just a long list of pages.
I read that the menu doesn’t work in WP3. I already installed 3.0.1. So is that the problem or is it something else? If it is the WP3, are you going to update it to that wordpress?
in wp 3.0 or 3.0.1, you need to click on “menus” under “appearance” in dashboard and setup which pages and what order
Hey – great template, love the look. I’m getting an error however that I haven’t see anyone else report. When I active the template only the header shows and I see this where the nav should be:

I have just downloaded this theme and very happy with it except for a few issues. These are:
1. The links in my top navigation line up underneath each other rather than horizontally under the header. They are also too small and need bolding.
2. How do I remove the Search box in the top right corner? This does not appear in my widgets.
3. I want to change the auto URL feature at the top of the page. This shows the sites URL but i want to change it to a keyphrase instead.
I hope someone can help ASAP.

Need to create menu in appearance section in dashboard
Hello, I’ve downloaded this theme and I’ve tried to installed on my wamp localhost with the lastest version of wordpress, and I got this error: “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENDWHILE in C:wampwwwglamourwp-contentthemesNewsOneindex.php on line 90″
Some similar errors happend with dyna blue and with 2 more free themes.
What can I do?

Every time i made menu about us/privacy policy then save, it disappears dont show in nav menu/header……the menu show only about 1-2 minutes then disapear again……

The menu ID at header dont show with this theme…..I updated my about us,privacy policy and contact page but only privacy policy shown with this theme and the other not.

Am trying to get the Featured posts to show on my website and I have installed the FeatureMe plugin, ticked the check box as well as adding the custom field, but so far nothing is showing at all. I noticed on the NewsOne options page (general settings) that there is a box for 728×90 code. This is currently blank – do I need to add info in here and if so what should I put??
