How to select posts for featured section?
You will need FeatureMe plugin, download and install it. Once installed, it shows a check box on all write/edit post pages. Check the check box and it will show up in the featured section
How to show the small image in featured posts section?
You will have to create a custom field “thumbnail” in write/edit posts and paste the full url to a 161×107 px image
How to show Adsense?
Simply enter your Adsense ID in TweetMeBlue options page
How to edit 125×125 Ads in Sidebar
Go to TweetMeBlue options page and then to 125×125 settings page.
How do i link the Twitter Icon in header to my Twitter Page?
Simply enter your twitter ID in the TweetMeBlue options page

I love the layout of this theme! But….I can’t seem to get the Featured Post working and I have FeatureMe installed and working. Made the new custom field “thumbnail” and entered the URL of the image and it does not seem to work.
Carrie, Download the FeatureMe plugin from this page, the plugin from author’s page has a bug and it isn’t marking the posts as featured.

Love this theme. I’ve downloaded the FeatureMe plugin from this page but the only option showing up is for Twitter ID. I’d like to get adsense in there too. Any ideas why the Adsense option doesn’t show up even though I downloaded the plugin from this article page? Also, I cannot figure out how to create the thumbnail for the pictures for FeatureMe. The instructions above do not give me enough information. Is there a more step-by-step version of the instructions?

Just to let you know, and maybe I am the only anal person but when using the Featured Posts I noticed the link on the bottom to read more looked like: “Readmore” I cahnged some of the coding in functions.php file:

Where exactly does featured.php go? I put in the root of the theme folder, I put the folder in the root folder and then I tried it in plugins.

How is the Settings section for the 125X125 ads supposed to work? I only see options to enter a URL for each ad – how do I enter HTML or javascript code for each of them?
You can only display image ads, enter image path and target site’s url
Is there a workaround for that? For many affiliate network ads, it doesn’t work like that – I need to enter their ad code …

search for “sidebar_ads” then you will see < ?php if(function_exists('theme_ads_show')) theme_ads_show(); ?> beside it
delete that
put your each 125×125 adcode in a < div >< /div > (remove the spaces in those tags)
as usual try it at your own risk
Great Theme, just one thing. I cannot get the featured post to work. I have downloaded the Featureme plugin from this site, and it still does not show up.
Never mind, I had to use the zip form of the plugin in order to get it to show up..Got it to working now thanks!

Trying to get this setup and it’s a beautiful theme, but the Featured Posts section doesn’t work. I’ve downloaded the plugins from this site, and haven’t touched any of the code, but I get the error “There’s an error with your set up of Carousel Viewer “board_carusel”!”
Am I missing something?
Should be something you have done or your settings with host or plugins you are using….
That’s what I had originally thought too, but it happens even when I disable *all* plugins. What settings should I be looking at as possible culprits?
thanks for a great theme!! I have a question about the 125 x 125 ads….I want to put affliate program ads in there and most affliate programs allow you to generate code in which you copy and paste…the 125×125 settings don’t seem to allow for this?

Dynablue is just what I’ve been looking for, and it looks fabulous. However, I don’t seem to be able to see (or add) comments to posts or pages I’ve been setting up under Wordpress. I’m a novice so I may have overlooked something, but I can’t see where. Can you point me to where I may be going wrong?
Can you (or anyone) say if Dynablue requires a minimum version of Wordpress? My installation is currently 2.3, and I’m not yet in a position to update it. If my problem is version-related, that would be good to know.

I’m on 2.7.1 wordpress and comments appear on posts but not on pages. Can’t figure it out. Any ideas? It’s just the edit link and that’s it. I tried deactivating all my plugins and that didn’t do it. I also didn’t install the 3 plugins dynablue uses and comments out the featureme and twitter part of the theme.

I have started using DynaBlue in order to take advantage of FeatureMe. My site is mainly a poetry blog, and I have a problem with the fact that FeatureMe does not post my poems as poems, but ignores the line breaks. Is there a way to keep the line breaks or, if that is not possible, to post a description of the poem using the description feature on the WordPress Post Edit page?

When i try to upgrade automatically i get an error, but i do not want to make a new install because i modified a litlle the theme and i dont want to lose that what files to i have to chage to make the upgrade and also whats new in this 1.1 version?

Great themes, but I get an error when activating the theme on my local machines apache server (Parse error: parse error in H:\xxxxx\apache_localhost\xxxxxxx\wp-content\themes\dynablue\functions.php on line 202. All other things work fine on the server.

First, I want to say thank you for such a beautiful theme.
I ran into a bit of an issue integrating adsense. I entered my adsense id (pub-xxxxx) in the template options and when I previewed it from adsense, I saw the ads. For some reason, when I went directly to the site, no adsense ads appeared. I went back to the adsense page and previewed again and they were gone there, too. It is really weird but I’m having a hard time figuring out the problem.
When I view the source code in IE, I see the adsense code but still no ads. One thing I did notice is I’m getting an invalid character error and an object expected error.
Any ideas?

i downloaded the feature me plug in, and for some reason whenever i check the box for a post to be featured in the “featured posts” section it becomes unchecked and does not appear there, is there something else i have to add in? or a code i need to place in the header.php

Nevermind! I had a rogue entry in my featured table. I looked like it was a leftover from a deleted article. It is fixed now!

Hi, i downloaded this theme from here (looks really good here by the way great design) and activated it on my wordpress (2.7.1) and the entire site has gone to white screen including the CMS. i assume there is a php error somewhere in this theme but i cant get into the cms to change to another theme. any suggestions?
Well first log into FTP and delete the theme and you will get back in to admin section.
As to why it happened, i have no idea… must be your hosting config….
fixed the site now by deleting the theme in the ftp so no problem there now thankfully, but i would still like to use the theme do you know what’s causing the error so i can fix it to save me going through line by line on each file. if you don’t know where it is, don’t worry and thanks anyway.

When users select a category on my blog, a 404 Error Message pops up (except on two posts). Can’t find a fix in Wordpress. What are your thoughts on what is causing this?

Posts are added, per the Wordpress Dashboard. Took a look at the two posts pulling through versus those that aren’t, no differences in how they are set-up. Thoughts?
John, here’s something interesting I uncovered . . . the tags all pull the posts over, just not the categories. Code hasn’t been touched and really, tags and categories are the same deal. Let me know your thoughts on what is causing the glitch. My thoughts are exhausted since the tags are working.

Is there a fix to the category issue??? I LOVE your theme but have stopped posting and removed the widget from my sidebar due to this issue. If you visit an individual post and click on the category under the post title, you’ll see what I’m talking about.
This is the only issue in an otherwise AWESOME theme I was hoping to help promote. Help me find a fix for this please . . . my site is http://www.edwardmarcel.com. I haven’t messed with the code, you can use Firebug to verify this. Tags work fine but I need to be able to set up categories for folks . . .
Here’s a specific example: Click on the ‘review’ tag . . . it’ll bring up a few posts. Then click on the Subway post and the ‘Food’ category under the title. You’ll find it doesn’t pull . . . . . .

But I am having trouble with the way the visual editor on the dashboard looks versus what shows up on the page. I can’t seem to figure out why I can’t get spacing in between my sentences. For instance, if I press enter several times on the visual editor, I will see a paragraph or line break like
this.
But not in my posts. I’m having to use the quotes feature to create breaks. Even using in the html doesn’t help. Is there a fix to this?
Also, is there an either/or option to make the quotes feature on the dashboard show up with quotes symbols instead of the blue bars or will it only show the blue bar? Is there a fix to this?

The only thing I can not figure out is how to change the date format in my posts. I have changed the format in the settings page but it does not affect or propagate to the posts. The format is always DD-MM-YYYY.

Installed an updated plugin for SP 2.8 called Disable Revisions and Autosave but that didn’t help. Any other ideas?
I have installed the theme and think it’s great! However, I have noticed that on the main page it shows the entire post, but still has a link to ‘Read the full post’.

Firstly i’d like to say i really like this theme, i’ve gone through all the comments and tweaked it just how i want it. I still have one problem though: my related links etc on the right is being pulled in at the bottom of the posts on the first page, it works fine when you navigate over to the second page (ie it comes up at the top – right of the posts) but on page one it shows a blank space and then when you scroll to the bottom of the posts you see the related links undernieth them.
any ideas? have i set it up wrong?

If you copy and paste content from other websites directly, it may cause the layout to fail, you need to loose the formatting from the website you copy.

FIXED: it wasn’t to do with any content (and mark-up) being pasted from another page. I’m not sure what the problem was but after getting frustrated and just posting another blog regardless – the new blog post (somehow) fixed the issue. new blog post = RHS bar layout reset? I dont know – but it did something because now its fine.

Hi there. I really appreciate the great theme. I do seem to be having some issues with the comments though.
When looking at the blog page, each post only lists “Read full Article” in the bottom. I noticed on your example of the page, all the share stuff, comment link, and read full article are in the same box. Can you tell me how to get that to happen on my blog?
As of now, comments don’t seem to be working at all. There is no link to comment on the main blog page. When you go to the individual post page, you can comment as an admin [though the comment never shows up for some reason].
Even with unregistered users allowed to comment, there is still a message saying you have to be logged in to comment. Any suggestions?

I’m a bit of nuff nuff with some code stuff – with the adsense stuff that is sitting at the top of the post (but doesnt seem to be doing it on the front page), I would like to make sure its always the same size banner. It seems to sometimes put in a large square box and other times a banner.
The large square one is making it difficult to format the beginning of my posts especially when I have pics in there.
Can you point me in the direction of documentation that will assist me with this.
Also, do you guys build websites? I’ve got a project coming up and I’m really very impressed with your styling.

the featured section is a plug-in mentioned at the top. I found It sorry for the no point comment.
How to widen the “posts” area by about 10px; or so? I just think i could add a little bit more space to each post.
has anyone had an issue with the “Read Full article” line for posts?
It keeps running into the sidebar when ever I have an image and not a lot of text.
is there away to keep it in the parameters? I changed the (Postmetadata) to 93% instead of 600px or whatever it was, and that didn’t help.
I thought the page was supposed to restrain it, but its not.

I figured the best way to make it work, is to post pictures on the right side only.

you can use page management option in theme options, simply uncheck the page you don’t want in nav bar.

Again, love the theme. I’ve just one thing I’d like to clean up. On the featured posts, after the carousel cycles past the 4th featured post, it then scrolls a fifth time to leave “Readmore” hanging on its own where the text usually is.
I only have 4 posts on the site so far. No lingering ones unpublished, just the four.
Any ideas how I could stop this from happening?

I am having the same issue with the Feature Me posts, whenever i go to edit the post or take a featured post away, it still leaves it there if the post still exists; if the post does not exist anymore it just leaves a “read more” link and links you back to the homepage.

I installed WP using Easy PHP. Evdrything worked fine, but when I activate your theme got this error message:
Parse error: parse error in C:\Program Files\EasyPHP3.1\www\wordpress\wp-content\themes\DynaBlue\index.php on line 32
What should I do?

I am having an issue with the Feature Me posts, whenever i go to edit the post or take a featured post away, it still leaves it there if the post still exists; if the post does not exist anymore it just leaves a “read more” link and links you back to the homepage.
I tried adding another featured post but it takes away one i want to be up and leaves the duplicate or non-existent post. Is there a way to fix this? I tried deactivating and reactivating the plug in but it did not fix it.
You will have to unfeature the posts first and then delete it
i did that but posts that i have already deleted are showing a rogue “read more” but i cant get the post back to do anything about it, i even uninstalled and reinstalled the plug in, still does not work, you can see on the site http://www.theycc.org

i deleted an article before uncheck the feature me! and now i have 2 o 3 read more without the article…

Is there a way to have a Link category also in the header bar instead of just pages? I would like to have a drop down option for one of the selections. (ie. Home, Contact, Information {drop down to 3-4 different links – to be made from pages} )

haha XD. that was so simple, i have just fill out the max posts permitted, then the “read more” disappear. I have modify the max posts to 10, i dont think that do the trick, but if someone try.
I have modify to 10, then i have feature 10 posts and the read more link have disappear.

How do you get the “more” to appear when you shorten posts? Right now, if I put the “more” break in, it doesn’t indicate that my post is shortened. It has the “Read Full Article”, but there is no clear indication that I’ve shorted my post.
How do I get it so “more” will appear and readers can click it to view full article?

Don’t think its possible without lot of work, theme is coded as fixed width
Hi guys, awesome stuff here.. I downloaded that FeatureMe plugin from the link up above but still cannot seem to find how and where to set posts to feature. Have installed and activated it… what am I missing?

I have downloaded this theme but the featured posts does not work. Has a little message saying that the javascript:stepcarousel.stepby. Could you tell me what I can do to fix this and get it working? Thanks in advance.

Love this theme, but I cant get the featured post to work. I installed the plug-in. When I go to “edit post” and check the feature me box, it doesn’t save the check, or put it in the feature box. What am I doing wrong?

hi! I just installed DynaBlue theme. I am very interested on the 125×125 ads sidebar.

I set up the theme, but both the 468px top banner and the 125×125 ads are not there…

When i activate the widget section like ads 125×125 or anything, the categories menu and the rest of the menu like archives and rest of all the things are disappeard from the sidebar
Its just not with only ads widget any widget when pulled to right side bar then only part which would be visible is the one on the widget section, but not the rest
no they are not same, the theme from this page has adsense and 125×125 ad options
It is not a theme issue, it got to do with your settings/plugins
Can you select the default theme and see if posts are displayed in category pages?

After realizing this ISN’T a Dyna Blue theme issue or coding issue, I dug in deeper. Advice received on Wordpress Forum to label my ‘Category’ and ‘Tag’ permalink base as the same variable is what caused the problem. Hadn’t had an issue with the theme prior and I’m happy to see I still don’t

One of the post in featured section is autosave, need to get rid of it…
How to get rid of the autosave post? I can’t find anything in wordpress.org documentation or forums nor anything from multiple Google searches. Still can’t get the right Rss url to work.
