Nice links! I agree with all that you are saying, but we need to look at those sites where designers are over designing and cluttering up their site and using images from istock photo to fit their design but the images have nothing to do with what the site is about.

Do you think that CMS is better to use these days as opposed to html or even php?

I visited upper listed websites and loved “mastermysite.com”. These are must visit for every designer.
